About the Book

Why Rebel?

A rebel hopes to impact the world.

A rebel confronts a social cause no matter the obstacles.

Rebels for a cause don’t conform, they create positive change.

True rebels make right what others said could not be done. Rebels for a Cause highlights social entrepreneurs and their rebel spirits.

The Background

After a career in the military, work as a social entrepreneur, and time as a consultant, co-author John Melia saw the opportunity to document some of his own experiences as a rebel. But more importantly, he saw an opportunity to feature other rebels he’s grown to know and respect. John hopes to use the forthcoming book Rebel for a Cause to acknowledge those who create positive social change and to motivate more rebels to give back.
